Snow fell in the Portes Du Soleil area again last night, with Morzine and Avoriaz now gearing up for the winter season. People are already skiing and snowboarding in Avoriaz. Only one month until the opening of the lifts.
Meanwhile, work is continuing on the new lift for Pleney. The original Pleney telepherique was built in 1934 making it one of the oldest in France. The new lift is being installed in time for the beginning of the winter ski season in Morzine this December. The new lift will be capable of moving 3000 skiers an hour up the mountain, and each bubble capable of holding 10 people.
